Hi, I’m Sarah!
I've spent over 20 years in accounting and bookkeeping, and the thread that runs through all of it isn't just numbers. It's people, systems, and finding better ways to make things work.
My career has taken me through public practice firms, contract work with small businesses across a wide range of industries, and several years in wholesale distribution where I was responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and the kind of operational complexity that comes with a business moving a lot of product through a lot of moving parts. Across all of it, the work I've come back to again and again is the same: assessing how a business's financial systems are set up, identifying what's not working, and building something better, whether that means cleaner books, better software, stronger processes, or a team that actually knows what they're doing and why.
I'm a people-first operator. I've trained office staff one-on-one, built documentation from scratch for businesses that had none, and sat alongside bookkeepers who were capable but working in systems that were set up wrong from the start. I know what it takes to not just fix the books, but to build the processes around them that keep them accurate over time.

What I Focus On
The bookkeeping landscape has changed a lot in the last decade. Cloud-based software, app integrations, automated bank feeds, industry-specific platforms, the tools available to small and mid-sized businesses are more powerful than ever. But more tools also means more places for things to go wrong, more opportunities for data to fall through the cracks between systems, and more businesses running on setups that were never properly configured in the first place.
That's where I come in.
My focus is on financial clarity, streamlined processes, and bookkeeping infrastructure that supports growth, not just getting the books done, but making sure they're set up in a way that gives you useful information, holds up as the business scales, and doesn't depend entirely on one person who carries everything in their head.
I work primarily with trades and contractor businesses and project-based companies, industries where job costing matters, where field software needs to talk to accounting software, and where the complexity of operations tends to outpace the bookkeeping systems that were put in place years ago. My background isn't in a single industry, it's in systems, process design, and full-cycle bookkeeping across a wide range of business types. That breadth is what lets me come into a new industry, understand how the business works, and figure out exactly what needs to change.
