Sarah - Founder & Financial Visionary
With a bachelor’s degree in business and nearly 9 years of experience working for accounting firms, Sarah's career has been a rich tapestry of financial expertise. From bookkeeping training and consulting to being a controller for a wholesale distributor, her journey led her to the Yukon in 2019. There, she pursued her dream of founding Boreal Business Solutions Inc., combining her passion for bookkeeping and finances into a thriving business.
Favourite part of the job: Spending one-on-one time with clients and diving into their finances. Sarah loves equipping amazing business owners and entrepreneurs with the financial tools they need to succeed

BEYOND BOOKKEEPING
Sarah’s favourite activities are all things outdoors—hiking, kayaking, camping, and more. To unwind, she enjoys family time, exploring the great outdoors in summer, and curling up with a good book in winter. With a hidden talent for piano, she once dreamed of playing the organ for the Edmonton Oilers. Sarah also has a penchant for unpredictable independent movies and fictional books with oddly-predictable storylines. Fun fact: She once held a black belt in Japanese jujitsu and hopes to return to practicing it one day.
Carrie - Bookkeeper Extraordinaire
Carrie has been a vital part of Boreal Business Solutions since April 2022, bringing her expertise in both Sage and QBO to the team. A recent graduate of the “Bookkeeping Basics” certificate program from Red Deer Polytechnic, she's on a continuous learning journey with her sights set on achieving the CPB designation.

BEYOND BOOKKEEPING
When Carrie isn't crunching numbers, she's enjoying quality time with her kiddos, spouse, and their two dogs. A long walk is her perfect way to unwind after a day of bookkeeping. With a hidden talent from her 23 years as a nurse, Carrie brings a unique perspective to her role. She grew up on a farm in Alberta, lived in Yukon for 7 years, and has recently moved back to central Alberta to be closer to extended family.
Halle - Chief Bookkeeping Enthusiast (on leave)
Halle's journey into bookkeeping started unexpectedly. With a degree in Environmental Management, she was searching for an environmental position in Winnipeg when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. She moved back to NW Ontario, securing a position as an Accounts Payable Assistant at a local construction company. Within six days, she was promoted to Accounts Receivable. Realizing her passion for accounting, she pursued a formal education in bookkeeping while working and managing her partner's construction business. Now, Halle is excited to bring her expertise to the Yukon.
Favourite part of the job: The versatility - there's always something different to work on, and never a dull moment
Favourite office snack: Not really a snack…but I have sushi once every few weeks as a special office lunch!
Favourite bookkeeping tip: Save your receipts and submit them to your bookkeeper! The sooner, the better
BEYOND BOOKKEEPING
When she's not managing books, Halle loves reading, crafting, and getting active. She unwinds by getting outside with her dog, Tagish, and has a hidden talent for Tarot card reading. A fan of cartoon movies, "Ratatouille" is one of her favorites. Fun fact: Halle was a competitive cheerleader for several years and continued to coach the sport until 2024.
